Zöe came up with the concept of Affordable Hearing and its sister organisation Hearing Aid Recycling at a socially distant hearing aid fitting during the pandemic.  Having lost her hearing as a teenager in the late 80’s by 2020 she had amassed a considerable collection of no longer needed hearing aids. On asking what would be the best thing to do with them, she was astounded to be told to ‘keep some for spares and throw the rest away’.  Making premium hearing aids available at affordable prices whilst providing hundreds of thousands of free hearing aids around the world seemed a no brainer!
