Carrie and her husband Tyrone spent their careers in advertising and television, but their hearts were always by the coast. With Ty a lifelong surfer from South Africa and Carrie a sea-loving land-lover, they shared a passion for protecting the oceans and a long-standing frustration with plastic pollution. Combining their creative minds, they set out to give discarded fishing nets and ropes a new life, transforming them into thoughtfully designed homewares. And so Ecotribo was born, turning a problem washed up on our shores into something useful, beautiful and built to last.
