Island Girl began with the hot sauce that was always on Shivi's family table in Trinidad. In 2013, she started making her own for guests at her Caribbean supper clubs, serving it in little jars alongside dinner. Over a decade of cooking, writing and sharing Caribbean food followed, but the sauce stayed with her. Eventually, Shivi decided to give that much-loved family recipe a bottle, a name, and a life of its own.
