Oystera began back in December 2021 when Francesca visited Porlock Wier in Somerset. While walking her dog, Pickle, along the beach, she became fascinated by the hundreds of abandoned oyster shells that littered the shore. She collected as many as she could carry and took them home. After lots of eco-friendly bleach and scrubbing, she thought of painting them. Her boyfriend then asked if he could buy one to give to his Mother as a Christmas present and next thing Francesca knew, Oystera had begun.
