Having been skiing for many years, Renee noticed that most base layers we're either block-coloured or overly bright, making skiers look like highlighters on the slopes. She thought these we're unflattering and, due to the mostly flimsy fabric, left her feeling half naked when taking her ski coat off. Motivated by this gap in the market, Renee spent two years on product development and research, eventually launching Sloobie from her bedroom. She has integrated shapewear into base layersa first among skiwear companiesemphasising a timeless, sophisticated style without compromising the technical qualities of high-performance skiwear.
