Tanvee grew up speaking Marathi at home, but never learned to read or write it, always feeling slightly in between. Over time, words slipped, confidence dipped, and parts of the language started to fade. When her nephew was born, it sparked a simple conversation in the family. How do you pass a language down when only one parent speaks it, and everything out there relies on scripts you can’t read?She realised this wasn’t just her family.
