Sarah had been working as a copywriter in cosmetics, and wrote a novella about a problem-solving perfumer who created the aromas of people’s happiest memories. As these imaginary fragrances couldn’t be found in shops, Sarah decided to learn how to make them. Her friends and family started asking her to blend scent memories of their own, and perfumery gradually replaced the writing. She still creates all 4160Tuesdays perfumes at her London lab, and teaches artisan perfumery to students worldwide.
