Michelle grew up in Rio de Janeiro, where her mother made shampoos from fruit waste before circularity had a name! Years later, as a mother in England, she questioned the synthetic ingredients and plastic waste on beauty and personal products that families use every day. After studying sustainable leadership at Cambridge CISL, she built Auê Natural - pronounced Aw-ee, meaning positive chaos - to bring rainforest-powered ingredients, European green science and plastic-free personal care to mindful consumers.
