After rediscovering her love for reading thanks to "A Court of Thorns and Roses", Starlin noticed the growing Romantasy community wasn’t reflected in most high street bookshops and that the genre was often unfairly stigmatised. Wanting to create a fun, welcoming, judgement-free space for readers, she began hosting pop-up events across the UK. In under six months, Starlin built a community of 25,000+ book lovers and raised enough to open a permanent bookshop in Central Oxford in June 2026.
