For years, Bhavna worked in fashion factories, helping companies and museums create their own products. But she still couldn’t find what she wanted to wear herself: something soft enough for the school gate, beautiful enough for a meeting, and easy enough for whatever the day might bring. So she made it herself. DesignerFriday turns end-of-line and natural fabrics into A-line dresses and matching sets, with samples sewn by seamstresses in London and small batches made by women through a social enterprise in India. From asylum seekers to mothers learning new skills to support their families, the women behind each piece share one thing in common: a love of stitching.
