As more of her friends began getting engaged and married, Georgie heard a common refrain: how time-consuming and uninspiring it could be to find tasteful, thoughtful gifts for bridal occasions. She saw an opportunity to reframe the often negative perception of hen parties, instead turning them into a meaningful moment of celebration during the journey to marriage. She also recognised a growing frustration among women with spending money on disposable, novelty items that quickly lose their value. In response, she founded Gigi & Olive (named after her and her sister) to offer a more considered alternative: premium, beautifully designed products and gifts that celebrate friendship, create joy, and are made to be kept and cherished long after the party ends.
