Fran got the idea for Grace & Green while working in the water and sanitation sector, where she saw firsthand the environmental and health impact of global menstrual hygiene management. Shocked by the waste and lack of regulation in the industry, she started researching alternatives. What began as frustration quickly became obsession and then a business was built on the belief that period care should be both kind to body and planet.
