Elka started Jerk Centre during the pandemic, when her main business was struggling and she needed to find a way forward for her family. The recipes came to her through vivid dreams and a deep connection to her Jamaican heritage. Elka followed that calling, began cooking from the heart, and watched a small local takeaway grow into an award-winning sauce brand built on flavour, resilience and love.
