While running mum and baby yoga classes and working as a doula, Mel started baking cookies to bring along- oats, flaxseed, fenugreek- the usual lactation staples. She noticed that at the end of the classes, when there were cookies there, the Mothers stayed, talked, got more out of the post session chats than the session itself. Milk it grew out of that and Mel started a business baking lactation snacks made to support breastfeeding mums.
