Childhood friends Emily and Sarah we're having an off-the-cuff conversation about the power of books versus the lure of screens when they realised that modern parents needed all the help they could get to make reading a fun and exciting experience. With five children between them, they recognised that parents we're crying out for an easier way to discover great new books for children (not just classics and bestsellers) and decided that a childrens book subscription might be just the thing. The friends got curating and launched their business, Parrot Street Book Club, which has more recently expanded to become a specialist online children’s bookshop.
