When Sophie was diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening heart condition, she had to give up sugar. Her sister Gracie started to research foods that could be suitable for Sophie to enjoy while she was recovering, but couldn't find anything that ticked all the boxes in terms of taste and health benefits. So Gracie started making snack bars for her at home that tasted like a treat but with all the added health benefits as we'll as being plant-based, gluten-free and containing no added sugar. And so Squirrel Sisters was born.
