Laura spent part of her childhood in Japan, and Kanazawa never stopped feeling like home. Years later, travelling there with her now-husband Harry, they both fell in love with pottery villages full of makers whose work they couldn't find anywhere in the UK. Each region had its own distinct craft, its own story. Frustrated by the lack of representation of these regional specialities available back home, Laura began tracking down artisans herself, sometimes spending weeks locating one maker whose heritage was worth sharing.
