The Mama Menu grew from the belief that food is one of, or perhaps the most powerful and effective ways we can care for one another. Growing up in a foodie family and going on to train as a chef and a doula, Freya always understood that food was about more than just sustenance. Through her work, she witnessed how rarely mothers were prioritised, and how little information there was surrounding adequate nutrition during pregnancy and postpartum. The Mama Menu was started in response to this gap, to offer food that heals, restores and comforts, bringing both science and soul to the table.
